Metroid Dread Revealed
During the today’s Nintendo Direct, Ninendo revealed that we will be getting a new Metroid game, Metroid Dread.
Dread is the first Metroid game to be 2D in 19 years (Metroid Fusion). Dread will be a direct sequel to Metroid Fusion and will see Samus fighting against E.M.M.I. robots.
Once DNA-extracting research machines, the imposing E.M.M.I. are now hunting Samus down. Tensions are high as you evade these E.M.M.I. to avoid a cruel death while finding a way to take them down. Find out what turned these robotic wonders into the scourge of ZDR and escape with your life.
Metroid Dread first started production as early as 2005, which was revealed by an internal list of upcoming games from Nintendo, but nothing every came of it. In 2010, Yoshio Sakamoto revealed that the game had at one point existed, but if it was to ever come out; the game would be rebuilt from the ground up.
Nintendo will be releasing a set of two Amiibo for Metroid Dread. One of Samus and one of an E.M.M.I. Which will cost $29.99 and launches on alongside Metroid Dread on October 8, 2021.
