Microsoft capped off today’s Xbox Showcase with the massive announcement that we will be getting a new entry in the much lauded Fable series.

The last mainline game in the series was released way back in 2010 with Fable 3. Since then we have seen a few off shoot games such as 2017’s Fable Fortune and the canceled Fable Legends, but none of them have reached the success or critical acclaim of the original trilogy.

We didn’t get a whole lot of information in the games announcement trailer, as it was basically just a cinematic that had no story or connection to the eventual game. It was quite pretty to look at though, so if the trailer represents a more cinematic version of what they are hoping to make the games look like, it could be a beautiful game.

There was no released date or even year announced, so expect this one to be quite the way off.
