No Man’s Sky is getting crossplay today
Last Month, Sean Murray of Hello Games announced, in an Xbox Wire blog post, that No Man Sky was coming to Xbox Gamepass for both Xbox One and PC. Today, In a blog post, Hello Games has announced that the game will be releasing on June 11th, 2020 on Gamepass and that they will be adding crossplay for all platforms as well.
We are excited to be able to announce that, starting tomorrow, PlayStation 4 players, Xbox One players and PC players will all be able to explore, journey, survive, build, and trade together. Excitingly, No Man’s Sky is joining what is at the moment a fairly small group of games which support cross-platform multiplayer.
While No Man Sky has a terrible launch, since then Hello Games has had one of the best comeback stories in gaming. Continued support and updates has taken what was once a hated game and turned it in to what many would describe as a success.
If some players were to turned off by the games initial launch to buy it, being on Xbox Gamepass, which has now passed over 10 million subscribers, could give the game a massive influx of new players.
