Obsidian announces new RPG Avowed

After showing off some of its already announced games, like the new DLC for The Outer Worlds and its upcoming survival game Grounders, Obsidian unveiled its new RPG, Avowed, during today’s Xbox Showcase.

Obsidian is most known for Fallout 3 New Vegas and the aforementioned The Outer Worlds. While both of those games were first-person shooter styled RPGs, Avowed looks to be a much more fantasy rich game. Guns, radiation, and robots are gone and in there place we will be getting swords, magic, and monsters.

With many people believing that Obsidian have overtaken Bethesda as the top developer of dystopian RPGs, with The Outer Worlds, now we will see if the can do the same in the fantasy genre and take down the long time king, Skyrim.

There was no mention of a release date, but Avowed will be coming to Xbox and Windows.
